Ryan is a board-certified ophthalmologist and fellowship-trained retina specialist. He completed a college degree from the University of Texas at Austin, a medical degree from Texas Tech University School of Medicine, and an ophthalmology residency at Tulane University. Ryan completed retina fellowships at the Bascom Palmer Eye Institute in Miami, the University of Texas Health Science Center in Houston, and the Sydney Eye Hospital in Sydney, Australia. He has been a member of Panhandle Eye Group in Amarillo, TX since 2011 and is an Associate Clinical Professor at Texas Tech University School of Medicine. Ryan is married to Christi and they have two children, Ash and Grace. Ryan is a co-founder of ChOSEN and has been on ChOSEN’s board of directors since its inaugural year.
Avery is a cataract and refractive surgeon and board-certified ophthalmologist with Panhandle Eye Group in Amarillo, TX. He completed a college degree from the University of Texas at Austin, a medical degree from Baylor College of Medicine, and an ophthalmology residency at The University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. Avery has three physician sons, Jave, Ryan, and Sloan, and one daughter, Hayden, who is a school teacher and coach. Avery is a co-founder of ChOSEN and has been on ChOSEN’s board of directors since its inaugural year.
Jon is the leading pastor at Lake Tanglewood Community Church in Amarillo, TX. He formerly was the executive director of the Bible Chair of the Southwest and an instructor of Religion and Philosophy at Amarillo College. Jon completed a college degree from Ozark Christian College and earned a Masters of Biblical and Theological studies from Wheaton College. Jon is married to Macy and they have two sons, Ben and Wyatt, and one daughter, Claire. Jon has been on ChOSEN’s board of directors since its inaugural year.
Rob is a board-certified ophthalmologist and fellowship-trained retina specialist with New Vision Eye Center in Vero Beach, FL. He completed a college degree from The University of Texas at Austin, a medical degree at The University of Texas Health Science Center School of Medicine in San Antonio, an ophthalmology residency at the Kresge Eye Institute, and a vitreoretinal fellowship at The University of Texas Southwestern. Rob is married to Claudia and has a daughter, Blake. He has served on ChOSEN’s board of directors since 2019.
Andew is a cataract and refractive surgeon and board-certified ophthalmologist with Laurel Eye Clinic in central Pennsylvania. He completed a college degree from Grove City College, a medical degree from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, and an ophthalmology residency at the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. Andrew served in the United States Navy and attained the rank of Commander. He is married to Sandy and has a daughter, Julie, and two sons, James and Josiah. Andrew has served on ChOSEN’s board of directors since 2022.
